NethFrame is a software development framework for .Net applications, developed by Nethrom software, based on the Rockford Lhotka’s CLSA framework. It is not a commercial framework, but we are using it for the project that we develop, either for our products, or for our outsourcing clients.
Nethrom has been developing software for our clients since 1993 based on various platforms. The most important ones are Progress, Microsoft and J2EE. We started from basic application development and application conversions and we continued with consultancy, complete redesign and development of new applications, including frameworks for our clients, most of them software companies. We are an R&D center for many of our clients. NethFrame is just one of the frameworks that we developed, based on our experience with .Net development.
What is a software development framework?
A software development framework is a complete functional package of specific components and services created to improve the software development activities. The work-frame is developed as an independent and specific layer between a technological support and client applications. The main role of a framework is to isolate the developer by the standard technological support in the sense of increasing the development productivity and the applications quality. The development process is strongly orientated towards reusing, generating and integrating existing functional components. The development process based on a framework keeps the developer focused on the business components development and not on the infrastructure components.
